Sign Ups for Spring Sports( Co-Ed Baseball
K-2, SFYBL Baseball Boys 3rd-8th, Micro-Soccer
Kinder, SF Vikings Soccer 1st, and CYO
Girls Basketball 3rd-8th) will be held
on Thursday, January 19th, 2012. Registration
will be from 5:15pm-6:25pm. at Goode
Hall. There will be a mandatory meeting
for all parents/guardians whose children
will be participating in spring sports
immediately following the registration.
The mandatory meeting will begin at
6:30pm in Goode Hall. At least 1 parent
MUST be present in order for the child
to be eligible to play. Please see the
attached memo for more information.
Please note that there WILL NOT be another
sign up date. Baseball team registration
is due on January 28th and Vikings Soccer
is on March 1st. Both these leagues
are on a first come first serve basis.
They take the first 12 children who
sign up. It is very important that if
your child will be playing either baseball
in the spring or Vikings soccer in the
fall, that you register them on this
date. We will be opening the rosters
up to children of the parish and recreation
and park if we do not receive enough
registrations on Thursday, January 19th.
If you register late there is no guarantee
that your child will be placed with
his classmates on the same team. Sign
ups for CYO boys soccer will be held
in May.

that returning athletes for school year
2011-2012 only have to fill out the

I
am forwarding you a flyer sent by Mr.
Ray Ristaino regarding a baseball fundamental
camp he will be offering for all children
interested in playing baseball. Mr.
Ristaino is following the tradition
of his long time coach and offering
the camp at no charge. This is a great
opportunity for new players to see if
baseball is for them. Ray is SFB Parish
Athletics Baseball Commissioner and
a parent at St Finn Barr School. I ask
all coaches who are interested in coaching
baseball this spring to attend this
clinic. The clinic is open to all boys
and girls in grades K-2, regardless
of whether or not they attend St Finn
Barr School. He will be hosting another
camp for grades 3rd-8th at a later date.
So pass the word around to your family,
friends, and neighbors who may have
children interested.

Parents,
Just a friendly reminder that winter
basketball will be starting tomorrow,
January 3rd. Practices are every Tuesday
from 6:30pm - 7:30pm at St. Mary's Recreation
Center. There will be 1 practice a week
and 1 game per week. Please be prepared
to play this week. Schedules will be
handed out at tomorrow's practice.
If
you have not turned in your payment
of $75. please send it in to the rectory
as soon as possible.
