Mandatory Agreement Between Parents and Micro Soccer
(All parents must sign this agreement before their child can participate.)

  1. No dogs on the field, near the field, around the field. No dogs. Violation can result in expulsion of the parent, child and if necessary, the whole team.

  2. Abusive, profane language or threatening behavior directed at another coach, parent, player, ref or Micro Staff, will result in an immediate consequence ranging from suspension of the individual to expulsion of the whole team.

  3. Children may not hang on goals or play with/in the nets. It is the responsibility of all parents to ensure the safety of all our children.

  4. No parents or coaches are allowed behind the goals.

  5. No alcohol.

  6. Take away all garbage especially the straws/wrappers of box drinks.

  7. Spectators may not coach (Get back! Pass! Shoot! Dribble! Wake up!). It’s impossible for players to hear/follow their coaches’ instructions, if parents are also yelling instructions. However, parents should cheer (Good pass! Good hustle! Good move! Good catch! Great run!) Parents cheer, coaches coach (and cheer).

  8. Spectators may not criticize referees, coaches, or players. If you have an issue with your coach, we recommend you find a time away from the field and not on game day, to address your concerns. If you have an issue with how the ref is handling the game, talk to your coach and have your coach talk to the ref. For example, maybe you feel one of the players is being too rough, talk to your coach, and have her talk to the ref. Do not go on to the field or start yelling at the ref.

  9. Parents are not allowed on the field of play unless to assist with an injured player.

  10. Micro Soccer is a recreational league - all players must play at least 50% of the time.

  11. Location of spectators: Spectators/Chairs/Strollers/Ice Chests should be at least two feet off the sidelines.

  12. Field Marshals are the official timekeepers. They will use an air horn to signify when games begin and end. We expect all play to begin and end accordingly. Please do not linger on the playing field after a game. Shake hands and get off the field so the next teams can start warming up.

  13. Field Marshals are information agents – they will help you find your field, team, lost child/jacket or give you directions to the bathroom. Field Marshals report which teams are late or do not show. Field Marshals are not Conflict Resolution Counselors.

  14. Teams that do not show up, are habitually late, or repeatedly don’t have enough players, will be expelled
